Phoenix Carpet Installation
New carpet and pad for bedrooms, stairs and family rooms, power-stretched tight with seams placed where you will not notice them.
Carpet installation is still the go-to for bedrooms and upstairs rooms in many Phoenix homes. It is softer and warmer underfoot than hard flooring and it quiets a house with tile or LVP everywhere else. A good carpet job comes down to three things: the right pad, a proper stretch, and seams in the right place.
On a concrete slab, carpet is held at the edges by tack strip fastened into the concrete. The pad goes down inside the strip, and the carpet is power-stretched over it. Carpet that is only knee-kicked into place tends to ripple later, especially in larger rooms.
Wall-to-wall carpet with a pad matched to the carpet and how the room is used.
Waterfall or upholstered (wrapped) stair installs, with the carpet secured on each tread and riser.
Larger rooms that need careful seam planning and a power stretch.
Stain-resistant carpet and pads with a moisture barrier for homes with pets.
| Fiber | Feel | Durability | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nylon | Soft to firm | High; resilient | Stairs, hallways, family rooms |
| Polyester (incl. PET) | Very soft | Moderate | Bedrooms, lower-traffic rooms |
| Triexta | Soft | High; stain-resistant | Homes with pets and kids |
| Wool | Natural, plush | High | Formal rooms, premium installs |
Pad matters as much as carpet. A pad that is too thick or too soft can wear out the carpet backing early, so we match the pad to the carpet's specification.
Desert dust works its way into carpet. A denser carpet and regular vacuuming keep it looking new longer.
Tack strip is fastened into the concrete, and the pad is seamed and secured so it does not shift.
Carpet in bedrooms with tile or LVP in the main areas is common here. Clean transitions at each doorway make the change look intentional.
Seams are placed away from doorways and traffic paths so they stay out of sight.
Carpet cost depends on the carpet and pad you choose, the size of the rooms and how much waste the layout creates. Stairs take more labor per square foot. Removing and hauling away old carpet and pad, moving furniture and any floor repairs also add to the total.
